MicroVentures
Position: Lead Writer
I was the lead writer for the game Microventures, a roguelike mobile game that combines procedural map and story generation in bite-sized adventures. It is a game for the senior game design series at UCSC, headed by lead designer James Farmer. The concept phase of the series was Fall quarter (September through December) and the implementation and polishing phases were Winter and Spring quarters (January through June). My tasks included writing content for the game, working under the constraints of the story generation system, communicating with the rest of the dev team as to progress made and how my story design ideas might help shape the story system, and attending regular team scrum meetings. The game was completed during the summer of 2012, and can be bought on the Android app store.
